KENDRICK LAMAR TO PIMP A BUTTERFLY

I am a huge hip hop fan, however I am always listening to old hip hop as I feel no one can rap as good as Biggie or Nas or Q-tip. However that all changed when Kendrick released his album, 'To Pimp A Butterfly'.

The album is a good mix of funk and hip hop. Kendrick Lamar raps about important topics in this album. One of my favourite songs is institutionalized. In this song he discusses issues such as how people are negatively affected and almost brainwashed by the idea of getting rich.
Another one of my favourites is 'U'. The song is basically a complete opposite to his song 'I', which is an anthem of peace, positivity and prosperity. The song  has so much raw and unfiltered emotional . Kendrick said that the song exposes his negative thoughts and dark moments.

If you haven't heard the album you can click HERE to listen to it.
